Boneseed can be found throughout our county and can quickly grow, flower and seed. It is mostly found along roadsides, below power lines and areas under development. Our biggest problem is that the berries are consumed by birds who also spread the seeds and can end up in residential properties.
Our inspection team is currently inspecting residential properties in Glenwood.
To date our control team have treated over 1000 individual plants due to all the rain last year triggering germination.
More information about Boneseed can be found at https://weeds.dpi.nsw.gov.au/Weeds/Boneseed
