Senior Administration Officer

Band2/Level3 / 30 Hours / Flexible work arrangement 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join our small varied office located in South Windsor.  We are a local government County Council engaged in biosecurity weeds prevention and containment. See www.hrcc.nsw.gov.au  for more background on our organisational functions.

The role requires a very versatile and professional person to assist management with the administration and accounts in all areas.

The Successful Applicant will need to have the following:

  • Excellent knowledge of MYOB
  • Cert 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Good Bookkeeping experience, general ledger & bank reconciliation, petty cash, BAS statements
  • Good knowledge of Word & Excel.
  • Excellent office and organisation skills
  • Great communication and presentation skills
  • The Ability to work well with others but autonomously.
  • An expectation to anticipate support required and learn the basics of our service.

Duties include :

  • Payroll
  • Financial and statutory reporting
  • Accounts management
  • Some human resources assistance
  • MYOB
  • Project Management
  • Banking, post office, stationery, and other Ad-hoc admin tasks as required
  • Dealing with Suppliers
  • Ordering equipment/services
  • Support for Councillors and executive.

The position is temporary, two years, with options for permanency. 30 hours per week with flexible working arrangements. Salary commences at $1,449.90 (per week, pro rata), $75,394.80 (annual, pro rata), $41.43 (per hour) + superannuation and local government award entitlements. Salary increases are available via the local government award and participating in our pay for performance scheme.
